Non-tenure Track Faculty Positions in Department of Chemistry, Tunghai University, Taiwan
Two non-tenure track faculty positions for organic chemistry and general chemistry to be established at the Tunghai University, from August 1, 2019, either at a senior, or as assistant professor, depending on experience and qualification.
The Department of Chemistry of Tunghai Univerity invites applications for non-tenure track positions. Outstanding applicants with teaching expertise in organic chemistry and general chemistry are encouraged to apply. The position will be at the rank of assistant professor, but exceptional senior applicants may be considered. These are full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track positions that have the possibility of leading to long-term multi-year contracts. The successful applicants will teach primarily for undergraduate students with a minimum teaching load in 12 credit hours for each semester, according to the role of Tunghai University. Personal office space will be provided for the successful applicant and the salary would be commensurate with tenure track professor. Several public laboratories are available in our department if recruited applicant request.
In addition to teaching duty this professor will also be actively involved in mentorship activities, administrative responsibilities and to recruit domestic or international students for our department. There are no research duties associated with this position.
Knowledge of the Chinese language is NOT mandatory; however, acquisition of some proficiency in Chinese over time will be very useful. Tunghai University also provides Chinese course for foreign faculties.

Post-doctoral experience for more than one year is preferred.
